Anger
Anger is a common emotion that we all experience. It is not necessarily a bad thing to feel angry however it can cause a problem if it becomes unhealthy anger as a default emotion or, the opposite, an emotion that is completely unexpressed. Anger can cloud your ability to think clearly, make you act impulsively, make you aggressive and violent towards people, drive you towards unhealthy behaviours such as alcohol, drugs, sex, shopping, or gambling or make you distance yourself from others. It can affect your family, personal and professional relationships. Therapy can help with anger as it gives you a place where you will not be judged and can express and explore what you are feeling and make sense of the cause of your anger and help develop new techniques to work with this emotion. CBT will help you look at any underlying rigid beliefs and other unhealthy emotions that may be mixed with the Anger which is often the case.
